MAC Seductive Intent Mattene Lipstick Review
A while ago I fixed my “traincase” since it’s been in a chaotic state ever since I can’t even remember. My “traincase” is just a toolbox that I didn’t use during my college days since I had to use a smaller one. So, there I placed my lipstick on the top part and woah I was shocked that I already have 11 MAC lipsticks excluding this one I’ll be reviewing today. This made me think that I should really stop buying or even reading forums. Haha! I shouldn’t know when MAC has a new collection or else! Well, I have a small to-buy list from MAC for next year. It would be Please Me, Mehr and Russian Red ONLY! I have enough pink lipsticks in my stash already, I rarely wear red lipstick and I already have Ruby Woo which is my HG red lipstick right now but yeah that’s it. Well, this lipstick I’ll be reviewing today, the MAC Seductive Intent Mattene Lipstick is my very first purple lipstick!!! Woot!
I got Seductive Intent with my Night Blooming Mattene Lipstick. It is only a small haul from the Taste Temptations Collection. Just two lovely lipsticks. I don’t know why but I’m such a sucker for bright colors. They are just plain lovely to look at.
According to MAC Seductive Intent is vivid purple.
Packaging
In case you missed my Night Blooming review…the Seductive Intent Mattene Lipstick is also encased in a small, slim tube unlike the regular MAC tubes. I like the slim packaging but this has a lesser amount of product in it. It has 2.3g compare to 3g regular sized MAC lipsticks.
Color
I missed Heroine from the Reel Sexy collection. It is a lovely purplish lipstick. It isn’t neon or too bright. I wasn’t a MAC addict that time yet. The Seductive Intent Mattene Lipstick is a purple lipstick which is pigmented and has an opaque finish. One swipe and I’m good to go. It radiates a sultry, seductive, and mysterious feeling. This would look good on colors like black, white, and gray tops for a more focused upshot. The color is perfect for the “temptation and seduction” theme.
Finish, Formula, and Texture
Similar with Night Blooming Lipstick, Seductive Intent has a Mattene finish. It is a matte lipstick but glides well just like amplified formula. It is slicker than satin too. I hope Pink Nouveau has this finish since it is really a perfect formula. The texture is creamy and silky. It actually reminds me of Revlon’s Crème lipstick like Cherries in the Snow. Lipstick like this doesn’t have the texture but has the finish of matte one! Like Revlon’s lipstick this doesn’t settle on my lip lines and the outer corners of my lips. I love that this doesn’t dry out my lips, but it didn’t hydrate it as well.
Staying power
It stays for about four hours on me. The semi-matte finish makes this lipstick stain slightly on my lips (right after eating) but I really don’t like a light purplish stain on my lips since I look cyanotic. Reapplication is not a problem at all.

- Doesn’t dry out my lips
- Doesn’t settle on my lip liner or even on the outer corners of my lips
What I don’t like
- Limited edition (as always!)
- Has lesser amount of product

Final Thoughts
I want to get another tube of Seductive Intent like Night Blooming but I guess I can’t find one anywhere right now. I love this lipstick just as I like NB.
